When you picture a hunger crisis, what do you see?

If you are imagining hundreds of thousands of people in despair, you are not alone.

We often see images of displaced families queuing up for food-aid rations, children with bloated bellies, and strong parents reduced to victims.

Right now, one and a half million children have been forced into severe hunger in Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan and Liberia. Conflict, drought, displacement and unrest have created an enormous malnutrition crisis.

It’s extremely confronting. But it is only half of the story. What we often don’t see are the stories of strength, determination and incredible resilience.
